I just want to let all memebers know of a situation on a purchase I made from a fellow member on here several weeks ago. I purchased a used Greddy Pro Fec B boost controller from a TT.net memeber B-Boy(Brian)out of California. We exchanged several emails for several days about the EBC. He told me that it lights up and everything works great with the unit. He sent me a picture of everything that was included in the purchase. I paypaled him the $300 for the EBC and recieved it several days later. It was packaged in two plastic zip lock bags. I looked at both bags and everything looked right to me. So I placed everything back into the box and placed it on the shelf in my garage along with many other Z parts that I have been buying over the course of a year in the attempt to get my Z back running. After talking with some Z guys that have had way more experience with various EBC's, I decided that I wanted to go with the Blitz SBC. So I put the Greddy EBC up for sale in the classifieds section of this site. After several weeks it sold to another fellow memeber for $250 which was less then I payed for it but it was fine by me. I even went as far as purchasing the plastic filter from Greddy cause it was missing the orginal. So I recieved the filter and packaged everything up and sent it out to its new owner. Yesterday I recieved an email from the new owner saying that he went to install the EBC and its not powering up. At this point the new owner had already deleted his factory boost solenoids so the car wont run. The new owner decided to open up the EBC unit itself and c what the problem is. When he opened it up he could tell immedialty that the unit had been tampered with (New Owner sent a pic of the tampered wires and board). There were wires soddered onto the boards and the wires were way to big as far as size. Just a complete mess. So he is very angry and now I am angry because I never took it out of the package let alone install it myself. I have sent B-Boy several emails in the attempt to resolve this issue. He has failed to reply to any of them. So it looks like I am the one who is going to be out the money cause I will be refunding the new owner his payment. I just wanted to make everyone aware of this situation. I thought since we are all on this site for one purpose and thats to help one another out that I would post this issue. I had no clue that the EBC was bad and had been tampered with. I went off the word of a fellow memeber. In the past I have bought several parts from several memebers and never had any hint that I would get sent a broken item. But I guess it falls on me cause I didnt check it before I sold it. I would have posted the pic that was sent to me but I cant figure on how to do that on this site. Thank Ya'll for reading my long post but I felt it was Necessary.
